NOTICE OF RACE
DATE, VENUE AND ORGANISING AUTHORITY
The 29er and 29erXX Euro Cup will be held at Sant Carles de la Ràpita, February 17th to 19th, 2012. The Organising Authority for the regatta is the Club Nàutic Sant Carles de la Ràpita and the Real Federación Española de Vela (RFEV) in association with the 29er Class Association, the Catalan Sailing Federation (FCV) and the International Sailing Federation (ISAF).
ELEGIBILITY
The ISAF Eligibility Code will apply. A boat entered in the regatta must meet the class rules for membership of the class association. All members of Spanish crews must have a Spanish Sailing Federation membership card valid for year 2012.
SCHEDULE

Prize Giving (as soon as possible after the end of the last race)
A maximum of 12 races will be sailed, up to 5 per day. One discard with four valid races. Two discards with 9 or more valid races.
Rescheduling of races may be made at the discretion of the Race Committee.
Races not completed as scheduled may be sailed at a later time or day during the regatta.
However, not more than five races per day will be sailed.
Any changes to the start time will be posted on the clubhouse notice board by 20.00 hrs of the preceding day.
No warning signal will be given after 15.30 hrs on the last day of the regatta.
At least two races shall be complete to make the regatta valid.
Social Event Programme will be available at on-site registration.
RULES
The regatta will be governed as defined in RRS.
RRS 44.2 is amended so that the two turns is replaced by one turn, including one tack and one gybe.
All entries will be displayed on the event website.
ENTRY FEES AND REGISTRATION Sailors entry fee is EURO 150 per boat until January 31st, 2012 and EURO 200 as of February 17th, 2012
Coaches entry fee is fixed in EURO 60.00. It includes launching their support boat and mooring during the regatta.

Registration is subject to the presentation of the following documents:
Third party liability insurance covering a minimum amount of 500,000m EUR
For Spanish sailors valid sailing federation licence
Parental authorization for minors (under 18s)
29er class code valid for 2011 (helm and crew)
MEASUREMENT
Hulls and sails must be in conformity with the Rules of the Class Associations.
The Race Committee may check all boats and crews before, during and after the races.
SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The Sailing Instructions will be available at the regatta office from 9.00 the February 18th.
SCORING SYSTEM
The Low Point scoring system of RRS Appendix A will apply.
ADVERTISING Advertising is permitted as from Class Rules.
PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded at least to the first three (3) placed boats of each class.
LIABILITIES All those participating in this regatta do so at their own risk and responsibility.
The Organising Committee or any person or body involved in the organisation of the event rejects any responsibility whatsoever for any losses, damages, injuries or inconveniences that may occur to persons or things, both ashore and afloat, as a consequence of the participation in the races covered by this Notice of Race.
Attention is drawn to Fundamental Rule 4, Decision to Race, RRS Part 1 which establishes:
"The responsibility for a boats decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone.
The wording in the NOR Appendix to the RRS says: Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organising authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during or after the regatta.
It is the competitors decision to enter the regatta or to start and continue in any race.
Competitors shall accept that their participation in the regatta is at their exclusive risk in every respect.
RIGHT TO USE NAME AND LIKENESS
In participating in the 29er & 29erXX Euro Cup any competitor automatically grants to the Organising Authority and the sponsors of the 29er & 29erXX Euro Cup the right in perpetuity, to make, use and show, from time to time and at their discretion, any motion pictures and live, taped or film television and other reproductions of him/her during the period of the competition for the said 29er & 29erXX Euro Cup in which the competitor participates and in all material related to the said 29er &29erXX Euro Cup without compensation.
INSURANCE
All boats competing in the regatta 2010 shall have third party insurance cover of not less than 500.000 or equivalent thereof in any other currency for any accident.
